Actor Michael Fassbender is to star in a movie adaptation of the hit video game Assassin's Creed. And according to Variety, the Prometheus star
is also set to co-produce the film, which tells the story of a barman
who is kidnapped by the Knights Templar and discovers he is a descendant
of notorious assassins. The game franchise has sold 30 million units since it was launched
in 2007 and the next instalment, Assassin's Creed III, will be released
