Back in the late 70s, Kenner, the same company that made the original Star Wars figures, designed 3 ¾” action figures for the original Alien. At the time, Kenner thought Alien would be a big hit and the figures might be another Star Wars. They thought wrong. Shortly after they released a 12" Alien figure, which barely sold, Kenner decided to kill the 3 ¾” toy line and the figures never saw the light of day. However, the prototypes eventually leaked into collectors hands and they were the types of figures everyone always wanted but could never own. Until now. Earlier this week at Comic-Con, Super7 announced something crazy: they've unearthed the original 33-year-old prototypes and will use them to help make these “lost toys” a reality. Like all the toys from the 70s, the figures will be loaded with five points of articulation, accessories, and period-authentic blister card packaging. Included will be Ripley, Ash, Dallas, Kane in Nostromo Suit and the Alien.
