The Wallflowers are back with a new record, the group's first since 2005's Rebel, Sweetheart. Glad All Over, is set for release on October 2nd on Columbia Records. The album, which was recorded in Nashville, is the band’s attempt to
modernize their rock sound and even add a little reggae influence with
the vocal and guitar contributions of the Clash’s Mick Jones on the
track “Reboot the Mission.” Frontman Jakob Dylan told Rolling
Stone the band’s current goal is to be “a rock band that could make a
dance track too, without crossing over to the extreme side.” After
recording Glad All Over wrapped in February, Dylan told the
magazine that he and the rest of the band are anxious to head out and
share the new tracks. “We’ve been patient, and we could not be more
excited.” Listen to “Reboot the Mission” here.
