IWC Releases Its First Ceratanium Watch
For the 50th Anniversary of the Aquatimer, IWC is debuting a brand
new titanium-based case material called Ceratanium. In development for
more than five years, the material has the lightweight qualities of
titanium and the hardness and scratch resistance of ceramic while also
having a high skin tolerance level and corrosion resistance. The
49mm case houses an in-house automatic movement that features a
perpetual calendar, chronograph functionality, a flyback, a 68 hour
power reserve and also has a mechanical external and internal rotating
bezel with SafeDive system. Other details include convex sapphire
crystal with antireflective treatment on both sides, a black rubber
strap, and IWC's quick-change strap system. The watch will be limited to 50 pieces and will be available at IWC boutiques this month. (Acquire)
