Bloc Party Announce New Album "Four"
Bloc Party have confirmed the details of their forthcoming fourth studio album after re-emerging from a hiatus last year. ‘Four‘ will hit the shelves on August 20th, and has been written in New York, with production duties being handled by Death Cab For Cutie and At The Drive-In cohort Alex Newport. It is their first since 2008′s ‘Intimacy‘. The new record will be released through Frenchkiss Records after the
band confirmed a new deal with the company last March; their previous
three releases were dealt with by the Wichita label. “This signing has
made Bloc Party very happy because not only do we know and love the
people at this label but we know and love this label’s output,” frontman
Kele Okereke said of the deal. "Frenchkiss has released some mighty fine music over the years, music
that has gone on to influence this very band. So here’s to some more
mighty fine music." The quartet have released a video trailer for 'Four', which you can see below.
