3D Street Art Beats World Record

On Guinness World Records Day, November 17 2011, Reebok and CrossFit took fitness to another dimension in Canary Wharf. On their mission to empower people around the globe to be fit for life, both companies collaborated with London artists “3D Joe and Max” to officially create the world’s largest 3D painting. With 1160.4m² and a length of 106.5 metres, London-based artist Joe Hill and his team achieved this incredible feat and smashed the previous record of 892.15 m² held by Chinese artist Qi Xinghua. The unique painting, technically referred to as anamorphic street art, shows dangerous drops and cliff edges and will be on public display until Saturday, November 19th. It encourages pedestrians, who pass by to work out and try functional CrossFot movements. This includes pull-ups and kettle bell swings, while they seem to be hanging above a cliff or standing on the edge of an escarpment.
