Much of the body is aluminium, while trim like the wing mirrors and splitter are fashioned using exposed carbon weave; Aston claims the car owes much to the £1m-plus One-77 hypercar, in terms of the materials and techniques used to build it. The Zagato is distinguished by a double-bubble roof, and it has an interior custom finished in pricey 'Seven Bridge of Weir' leather, which is quilted and decorated with wavy red contrasting stitching. The 503bhp V12 engine is linked to a six-speed manual gearbox feeding power to the rear wheels, so Aston can claim this is a true driver's car - although it doesn't have any more power than the standard V12 Vantage. The Zagato will get its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show, and first customer deliveries will happen around November time.

Aston V12 Zagato Reaches Production
Aston Martin has unveiled the final production version of the V12 Zagato coupe, set to debut at a motor expo in Kuwait this month. The Zagato is limited to 150 copies, 40 of which have been sold already at the staggering price of £330,000 plus VAT. That's a lot of money for a car that's essentially a rebodied V12 Vantage, which at £135,000 after tax is around one third of the price. Still, Aston claims that 2,000 hours goes into hand building each Zagato, using expensive, lightweight materials like carbon fibre.
