Mastodon Share New Song "Fallen Torches"

 

Mastodon will release a rarities collection titled "Medium Rarities" on September 11. The compilation includes one brand new song, "Fallen Torches" (featuring a guest appearance by Neurosis's Scott Kelly), which can be heard below, along with a bevy of classic covers, soundtrack contributions, instrumentals, B-sides, and live recordings on one complete package for the very first time.

1965 Chevy Corvair ‘Corv8’ By Abimelec Design

Abimelec Design has resurrected the memory of the Corvair in an altogether more positive way. The designer calls it the Corv8, a visualization of what a 1965 Corvair would look like with the engine and transaxle of today's Corvette C8.

Ares Design is bringing the classic lines of the DeTomaso Pantera back in a modern, updated design. The Panther's carbon fiber body rides on a donor Lamborghini Huracan chassis, meaning that the Panther has an excellent naturally-aspirated V10, all-wheel-drive, and great handling. The interior is bespoke according to each customer's taste, with generous amounts of Alcantara, Nappa leather, and carbon fiber throughout. The body was designed with the help of computational fluid dynamics, meaning it isn't just there to look good — it also provides good aerodynamics, along with LED popup headlights. Ares plans to make 70 Panthers over the next five years making it a very rare car based on the already-rare Huracan. (uncrate)

Portland, Oregon based metal outfit, Idle Hands have announced the release of the ‘Don’t Waste Your Time II’ EP. Expanding on the band’s 2017 EP release ‘Don’t Waste Your Time,‘ this new EP features two new songs – It Doesn’t Really Matter and Puppy Love – both out now and written at the same time as the original collection. John Carpenter Shares Two New Tracks, “Skeleton” And “Unclean Spirit"

John Carpenter has shared two new songs, marking the legendary horror director’s first non-soundtrack music since 2016’s Lost Themes II. “Skeleton” and “Unclean Spirit” were made in collaboration with his son Cody Carpenter and godson Daniel Davies. A 12" vinyl single featuring the tracks will be out August 28 via Sacred Bones. Hear both songs below.
