Listen To Fiona Apple’s "Dull Tool" From The ‘This Is 40' Soundtrack
Fiona Apple's contribution to the soundtrack for Judd Apatow's new movie, This is 40,
hit the internet a few weeks in advance of the album's official
release. The track, called "Dull Tool" marks Apple's first original song
for a film as she joins Paul McCartney, Yoko Ono, Norah Jones, Ryan
Adams, Paul Simon and Wilco on the soundtrack. Although Apple recorded a cover of the Beatles' "Across the Universe" for the 1998 film Pleasantville and her song "Paper Bag" featured in Bridesmaids, the original composition for This is 40 will make her eligible for an Academy Award for the first time.
