First Teaser Trailer For "Mobius"
French thriller called Mobius
is based on the idea of the Möbius strip, a non-orientable
two-dimensional surface with only one side when embedded in
three-dimensional Euclidean space. Whoa! Don’t’ be afraid of math, the concept is used to illustrate an idea for a heist. Well, the teaser for Eric Rochant‘s
film is very intriguing, not the least of which is trying so hard to
imitate Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster Inception dramatic trailers. Last year’s Best Actor winner Jean Dujardin is taking the lead as the FSB officer who is tracking Tim Roth’s character, a Russian oligarch suspected of money laundering through his bank. Cécile De France stars in the female lead, an American agent who works as a trader in a Russian bank. Both written and directed by French filmmaker Rochant (Mafiosa) and produced by Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp, Mobius hits theaters in France on February 27th, but doesn’t have a US distributor yet.
