Jane’s Addiction’s official new single from the upcoming ‘The Great Escape Artist’ is now available online. The single was premiered on Kroq radio during an interview with the band.
The track, called ‘Irresistible Force’ marries Jane’s decadent musicianship with shoe-gazing rhythms and the underlying guitar work of Dave Navarro (which takes a back seat for most of the track). Perry Farrel’s vocals are on top form, flowing seamlessly from verse to verse. The whole song has a sultry and introspective feel to it, but Navarro recaptures some classic Jane’s moments with his solo, making this an epic track with a modern twist. The single is available on Itunes now and is the first one from the band in 8 years while the album is due in stores on the 27th of September.
