Horror-punk-pioneer Glenn Danzig is set to reunite with estranged members of former bands the Misfits and Samhain at the Red Bull Riot Fest on October 7. Danzig, who originally disbanded the Misfits in 1983, will play a set of the cult favorites’ songs with former guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein. In addition, Danzig will also be on stage to perform Samhain tracks with the band’s original members as well as a set of his solo band’s, Danzig, material. This trifecta of performances is being dubbed “Danzig Legacy.” The Red Bull Riot Fest takes place over five days at the Congress Theater in Chicago. Other headliners scheduled to appear include Weezer, Social Distortion, the Descendents, and a D Generation reunion.
