Harry Winston's Opus XI

The Opus Eleven is perhaps the most unique watch of the Harry Winston Opus collection so far. The watch is a creation of designer Denis Giguet of Manufacture Contemporaine du Temps (MCT). Denis wanted to Opus XI to make “time explode” and feel like “puzzle” where an intricate set of plates would work together to display the hour, and then break apart when the hour was over. The movement of the complicated watch is over 500 parts and is simply amazing. Harry Winston’s signature style is a bit difficult to see in the Opus XI, although it exquisitely timeless. Denis explains that the Opus Eleven is resilient enough to be worn on a daily basis. The watch is designed with a shock absorption feature that helps it last for a long time. The central cylinder of the watch displays the hour; in the upper right of the case there are two disc which display the minutes. There Sapphire crystals keep the movement in place. The case is a coated in white gold and sapphire crystal. Jewelry specialists are calling the Opus Eleven the best, most unique watch of the collection. The Opus XI costs approximately $250,000.
