Arnold Schwarzenegger Confirms "Twins" Sequel

NME reports that Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed the film Triplets is in development. Triplets is a sequel to the 1988 comedy Twins, which starred Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito as characters who discover they are non-identical twins created in a botched genetic experiment and separated at birth. Julius (Schwarzenegger) had all of the "desirable traits" of the parents while Vincent (DeVito) got the "genetic trash". Ivan Reitman directed the film and would later work with Arnold again on Kindergarten Cop and Junior. While promoting The Expendables 2 at Comic-Con. He said: "I think they have moved it along, and Ivan Reitman has shown interest in being involved. Universal is excited about it. I'm looking forward to doing it, because I think it will be hilarious." He said that Universal is still looking for a writer for the project. It was reported earlier this year that the film would be called Triplets and both Julius and Vincent would discover and even more unlikely relative. Danny DeVito told the Evening Standard: "We're going to try and do it next year. Arnold and I find out we have another brother, played by Eddie Murphy. I don't know how it's going to manifest but it will be fun." Schwarzenegger's next film is The Expendables 2, which will be released in August. DeVito is starring in The Sunshine Boys at London's Savoy Theatre and is also a star of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
