Next-Gen Hyundai Genesis Coupe Previewed By HND-9 Concept
Hyundai has revealed the HND-9 concept which will be presented at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show on March 28. The meaning of HND-9 represents Hyundai's ninth concept
created by the R&D Center in Namyang, Korea and offers a glimpse on
the styling cues which we will see on a "next-generation luxury sports
coupe" (aka Genesis Coupe). Featuring butterfly doors and dual
tailpipes, the Hyundai HND-9 is a rear-wheel drive concept with a wide
hexagonal front grille and spiral-shaped lines linked to the headlamps. Power comes from a 3.3-liter turbocharged GDi engine producing 370 HP
(272 kW) transferred to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic
gearbox. A similar setup was found in the 2011 Kia GT Concept which had a peak torque of 394 lb-ft (534 Nm). (worldcarfans)
