Dartz Is Back With Its Black Snake Edition
The extravagant Latvian automotive producer Dartz has introduced
a new model dubbed “Black Snake”. This is the company’s first
non-armoured vehicle and uses the Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG as a starting
point. The Black Snake, which is exclusively destined for the Chinese market,
features the company’s usual boxy styling cues. The vehicle is dressed
in black, featuring gold details, as well as a diamond encrusted hood
ornament. The cabin is a mix of Mercedes-Benz elements and luxurious materials
such as snake, ostrich, crocodile or whale foreskin leather. The vehicle
also offers gadgets such as a Bang & Olufsen audio system.
Customers also receive a portion (56 grams) of Mottra caviar every two
months for the first two years of ownership. The 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine of the GL63 AMG delivers 557 hp and
760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque, working with a seven-speed automatic
gearbox and Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive system. This allows the
massive vehicle to deal with the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 4.9 seconds. The Dartz Black Snake will come with a price of $1 million (€743,000 at the current exchange rate). (autoevolution)
