Citroën 2CV Successor Could Be C4-Based, Due 2014?

New details are starting to emerge about the Citroen 2CV successor. Autobild is reporting the model is codenamed the E3 Essential and will be based on the C4. The car will measure approximately 4.3 meters (14.1 feet) long and have styling inspired by the C-Cactus concept which debuted at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. Engine options remain unconfirmed but rumors suggest there will be a 92 HP (68 kW) diesel and two petrol units with outputs of 82 HP (60 kW) and 100 HP (74 kW). A concept could be unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show before the production model is launched in the spring of 2014 with a base price of roughly €16,000 ($21,200 / £13,000). (worldcarfans)
