Chevy has unveiled the long awaited, C7 Corvette and have deemed it such
a special car that they've brought back a special nameplate, The
Stingray. The 2014 Corvette Stingray is American Muscle meets next
generation stealth design with styling cues reminiscent of Corvettes of
the past, but the aggressive, high-performance contours make it very
much a Corvette of the future. The new Vette will be powered by a 6.2L
V8 LT1 engine that will produce 450 hp, 450 lb-ft of torque, a 0-60 time
of under 4 seconds, and it will even manage to exceed a fuel mileage of
26 mpg. Other features include a carbon fiber hood, removable roof
panel, and a new seven speed manual transmission. Expect
the Corvette Stingray to hit showrooms in the 3rd quarter of this year. (acquiremag)
