Meet The 701-Hp Mazzanti Evantra

Mazzanti Automobili has released new images of the Evantra V8, a limited series mid-engine supercar which is expected to debut at Top Marques Monaco Show in 2013. The Evantra was first announced last year by Italian company F&M by Mazzanti Automobili – which has subsequently changed its name to just Mazzanti Automobili. The Evantra – whose name indicates the goddess of immortality in ancient Etruscan language, was designed by Luca Mazzanti and Zsolt Tarnok, the Hungarian designer who also created the F&M Vulca. The car is powered by a mid-mounted 7.0 liter V8 engine delivering 701 hp and 848 Nm, coupled with a robotized six-speed transmission. The body is primarily made from carbon fiber and its aerodynamics was studied in partnership with Ysim, a company that works as a consultant for Formula One teams. The main performances are a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h. The Evantra is expected to be produced in five units per year, with extensive customization possibilities. The first car is currently under development and is expected to make its debut at Top Marques Monaco show (18-21 April 2013). (carbodydesign)
