Back in 2009, Bugatti showed for the first time its Galibier
sedan as a concept at its headquarters in Molshiem. The car subsequently
made its motor show debut in Frankfurt the same year, but since then
the project has been slowed.
Current Bugatti owners complained about the design, and this is now
undergoing radical change. As a result, the launch of the super-sedan
has been pushed back to 2014 or 2015. But in a recent interview with Car and Driver magazine, Bugatti’s Wolfgang Durheimer reassured that the project is currently being pursued "with high energy." He also said that the Galibier sedan will have "over 1,000 horsepower"
from its 8.0-liter W16 engine and that it will be "faster than anything
on the market" with its top speed of 235 mph.
