2015 Koenigsegg One:1

Koenigsegg has confirmed the limited edition One:1 will be exhibited in March at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Only six cars will be built but all of them have already been sold and it's no surprise taking into account the One:1 has what it takes to become the fastest production car in the world. As a reminder, the "One:1" nameplate refers to the vehicle's power to weight ratio as it will have 1,400 bhp (1,044 kW) in a body weighing 1,400 kg (3,086 lbs) which will include all fluids and the weight of an average-sized driver. Koenigsegg's engineers say the One:1 can theoretically hit a top speed of more than 280 mph (450 km/h) but most likely it will be limited by the tires. The Swedish supercar maker is confident the One:1 will establish new records for the 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h), 0-186 mph (0-300 km/h) and 0-248 mph (0-400 km/h) sprints. As a matter of fact, they estimate hitting 400 km/h from a standstill will be done in approximately 20 seconds. As a side note, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition is currently the fastest car in the world, being able to reach an electronically-limited top speed of 258 mph (415 km/h). Bugatti tested an unrestricted Veyron WRE and managed to climb to 268 mph (431 km/h) but the production version was sold with the limiter installed. (worldcarfans)
