Combat Guard 4×4 Armored Vehicle

Israeli Military Industries has introduced its newest extreme armored vehicle: the CombatGuard. According to Defense Update, the hulking 4x4 rides on 54-inch tires, has 2.3 feet of ground clearance, can ford over 5 feet of water and, with wheels positioned beyond the ends of the body of the vehicle, has approach and departure angles of 90 degrees, essentially allowing it to drive up a small vertical wall. Powered by a 300 hp version of the General Motors 6.5-liter diesel engine used in the AM General Humvee, the CombatGuard has a top speed of 93 mph, carries up to 3300 pounds of payload, and can climb a 70 percent gradient. A modular design allows for several configurations, and the vehicle can be outfitted to accommodate as many as eight troops, or six with a turret gun on the roof. But the coolest feature may be its clamshell-style rear passenger doors, which bring function with their action movie form. The bottom half does double duty as a staircase offering easy access to the high cab for heavily equipped troops. No word on when, where or if the CombatGuard will be deployed, but it made its public debut this week at the Eurosatory convention in Paris, the world’s largest exhibition of defense and security vehicles. SoCal ska punks The Interrupters have released a music video for their song “Family,” featuring a cameo appearance from Rancid guitarist/vocalist Tim Armstrong who has guest vocals on the track. Turkish company Alen Yacht recently launched their newest flagship luxury superyacht, the Alen 68 for a whopping $3.8 million. The Alen 68 Superyacht was designed by the world renowned design office Foster + Partners. The yacht measures in at about 68 feet and can accommodate 16 passengers. The boat has a variety of spaces and features including a midship dining room and a wheelhouse that is protected by an oversized curved glass and covered by a fashionable retractable bimini top. The yacht’s interior offers a large lounge, a itches, a master cabin, and two guest cabins to accommodate visitors. Kate Brown created a desert-stricken chair called the Etazin Lounge Chair as a unique piece of art and a relaxing piece of furniture combined. The lounge chair contains spherical metal that rotates on a swivel. It is about 8.5 feet tall and rotates 360º. This specific chair is permanently installed a the Taliesin West school in Scottsdale, Arizona amongst the student shelters in the desert, but you can order your own online and install it into any concrete or wood platform.

Metallica Release New Song "Lords Of Summer"

Metallica have officially released their new song “Lords of Summer” via iTunes. The new track, which is technically titled “Lords Of Summer (First Pass Version),” is just over eight minutes long. According to Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, the song is “fairly representative” of the new material being written for the upcoming album. The Company specializes in designing, producing custom, handmade motorcycles. Molot is basically a heavily modified 2013 Honda CBR 1000RR ABS version, fully striped of everything down to the frame, engine and the wheels, and rebuilt as an aggressive, aerodynamic and technologically advanced 1000cc superbike. Herbert – "One Two Three" (New Song)

Veteran electronic producer Matthew Herbert has announced plans to return to his house alias (simply, Herbert) with a four-track EP which will see a release via the artist's own Accidental imprint later this month. Entitled Part 6, the new EP will be the first to appear simply under the "Herbert" moniker in eight years, and is said to in some ways to signal a continuation of the producer's Parts 1-5 releases, which first began appearing under his surname in 1995. Herbert's Part 6 is set to see its official release in vinyl form on June 23, with a digital edition set to drop the following week. In the meantime, the EP's lead cut, "One Two Three," can be streamed in full below.

New Trailer For "The Expendables 3" Revealed

Lionsgate has released a new The Expendables 3 trailer and banner. The follow-up finds Sylvester Stallone’s Barney Ross and his Expendables crew squaring off against Ross’ old partner Conrad Stonebanks, played by Mel Gibson. The film opens August 15th, and also stars Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz, and Glen Powell.

Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo

Nissan and Gran Turismo have unveiled their collaborative effort titled “Nissan Concept 2020 Gran Turismo,” which will be distributed as a free update for the PlayStation 3 exclusive Gran Turismo 6. The intention with this car was to give young designers at Nissan Design Europe in London complete freedom to create the sportscar of their dreams. Nissan Technical Center engineers then integrated technical aspects into the design to establish the combination of design and technology for its development.

It seems that the Russians experimented with tardigrades, tiny resilient animals able to withstand the extremes of space radiation. The creatures survived, but not without mutation. Now the crew is exposed to aggressively mutating organisms. And after being locked in ice for three decades, the creatures aren’t about to give up the warmth of human companionship."

Seth Rogen and James Franco star in the first trailer for their new movie, The Interview. See below to watch now. The film sees Rogen and Franco play a television host named Dave Skylark (Franco) and his producer (Rogen), best friends who are enlisted by the CIA to travel to North Korea and assassinate Kim Jong-un. The Interview is written and produced by Seth Rogen and his comedy partner Evan Goldberg. The Interview also stars Randall Park (Veep) as Kim Jong-un and Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex, Mean Girls). The film opens on October 10.
