The first Homefront game was released in 2011 and published by the now
closed THQ. Now Crytek and Deep Silver are bringing the series back with
it’s second installment, Homefront 2 and will be an open-world shooter. It’s set in Philadelphia which has become a police state
and “a near future dystopia where catastrophic events have brought the
USA to its knees and enabled North Korean forces to impose a brutal
military occupation”. The game promises “a living, breathing, open world
responds to your actions”. The production of Homefront 2 will be headed at Crytek’s Nottingham
studio. Homefront is set to release in 2015 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4
and PC.
