The relationship between independent Milanese coachbuilder Zagato and Lamborghini dates back to 1965, and the latest special one-off collaboration has just debuted at this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este
at Lake Como. Built for collector Albert Spiess, this Lamborghini 5-95
Zagato Concept is based on the Gallardo LP570-4 and dressed in a
distinctive burnt orange paint job. In an effort to design the contemporary collectible car, Zagato installed a gaping front
grille, aggressive front fenders and a wind deflector placed in front of
the windshield, with wraparound glass underneath the double-bubble
roof. A shortened trunk reveals the various mechanical components,
including tail lamps heat release, aerodynamic features and an active
spoiler.
