Introducing industrial design to home rugs, Swiss designer Lukas Scherrer has come up with an innovative carpet called the “Memory”
that incorporates different patterns representing circuit board,
conductors, chips and plugs, overlapped in layers, to combine the
traditional art with contemporary designing. Currently on display at the Salone del Mobile 2013 at the Ruckstuhl
Showroom in Milan, the Memory rug carries the spirit of the times, while
experimenting with modern patterns of technology. Made using pure new
wool felt, the Memory rug
characterizes patterns of computer hardware in an artistic form on its
three-dimensional surface to identify with the modern geeks. (homechunk)
