The creative team behind the hit 1985 movie Back to the Future is considering bringing a musical adaptation of the film to a Broadway stage. “Robert Zemeckis, Bob Gale, and Alan Silvestri are in preliminary creative discussions,” a rep for Zemeckis confirmed to EW. But don’t get out your puffer vest and hoverboard just yet. “Mr. Zemeckis is presently in post-production on Flight, his first live-action film in a number of years,” his rep confirmed. In other words, they’re still in the very early stages of planning. Zemeckis directed the classic ’80s trilogy, starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd as a pair of time-travelers, and co-wrote it with Gale; Silvestri, a longtime Zemeckis collaborator, composed the film’s musical score.
