Public Enemy's Chuck D says the hip hop pioneers will release two new studio albums this year. 'Most Of My Heroes Still Don't Appear On No Stamp', produced by long-time collaborator Gary G-Wiz, will be released in June, while 'The Evil Empire Of Everything' will be follow in September. Speaking to Billboard.com, Chuck D described the albums as "two concise statements that are connected in the same breath." The news comes prior to Chuck's planned speech to journalists on Sunday January 15. He will address journalists from Skid Row, a small part of Los Angeles and one of America's poorest districts. The rapper says he wants to expose the effects of America's housing crisis on the struggling district. "Skid Row has been called 'the dirty secret of LA' for, like, forever," he explained. "And so, I'm gonna be loud about it." There is also a festival taking place on the same day, Operation: Skid Row, which will benefit LA's homeless and lowest-income families. The event will culminate with a Public Enemy performance, almost 25 years to the day since the release of their debut album 'Yo! Bum Rush the Show'. "Outsiders look at rap music and artists in hip-hop as being as elitist as the power structures that keep them down," he added. "You've got organisations in LA that are trying to say and do the right thing, who are practically invisible, fighting for some media time. "What other place do I have? My place in hip-hop is not to be a tycoon, making trillions with a yacht. That's not my place. My place is maybe bringing people together and me being able to identify and illuminate a cause, and we'll make it comfortable for them to be themselves but say what they've really been wanting to say all along, you know, with my protection."
