Life's Too Short Loses Viewers For Second Week Running

Ricky Gervais's new comedy Life's Too Short is no laughing matter for BBC2 after ratings dipped to fewer than 1.5 million viewers on Thursday night. The comedy, about a showbiz dwarf, played by Warwick Davis, which has been criticised as cruel and offensive (Gervais insists he is just having a laugh) was watched by 1.3 million viewers (5.3%) between 9.30pm and 10pm on Thursday, including 89,000 on BBC HD. It was down from an audience of 1.5 million for last week's second episode and 2.5 million for the series opener on 10 November.
