Michael Jordan has introduced the 29th edition of his
shoe, the Air Jordan, on Thursday in Manhattan. Air Jordan XX9 will be
available for purchase in September. Each pair will reportedly cost $225. According to Tinker Hatfield, designer for 19 of the 29 Air Jordan
shoes, the new version consists of a high-tech weaving process from
Italy, where a part of the shoe will be manufactured. The same process
is used for manufacturing high-quality silk neckties. The remaining
parts of the shoe will be created and assembled in Asia. Designing the
Air Jordan XX9 took over two years to complete, with over 20 people
involved.
