During Sony's press conference yesterday new footage was shown of the gritty post apocalyptic title, The Last of Us. Developed by Naughty Dog, The Last of Us explores a world in
ruin. Twenty years have passed since a pandemic struck mankind and now
survivors are killing each other in order to survive as they steal
food, weapons, or whatever they get their hands on to give them an
advantage over others. Joel, a ruthless survivor, is hired to smuggle
Ellie, a 14 year-old girl from a military quarantine zone. This basic
job soon becomes much more. Naughty Dog asks “What does it take to survive in the brutal yet beautiful world that is The Last of Us”? This question is what faces players in their travels through The Last of Us
as they explore the depths of human perseverance through Joel and
Ellie’s relationship. Gamers will play as Joel while the npc will
control Ellie. Choices will be difficult and gamers will become invested
in Joel and Ellie's quest to survive. Check out the footage below:
