Breitling
celebrates the 50th anniversary of one of its most iconic timepieces,
the Navitmer Cosmonaute. This exclusive edition instrument is limited to
the production of a mere 1,962 watches, in lieu of the original
Navitmer Cosmonaute released in 1962. The Cosmonaute was used in space
travel because of its reliability, durability and functionality. A black
face accompanied by steel dial and fine leather wrist strap reads all
possible information including the date and different time
zones. Inscribed on the back of the watch is the Aurora
7 Mission representing the first space travel the Cosmonaute experienced
in 1962.
