Audi's classic rally car celebrates its 30th birthday at this year's
Frankfurt Auto Show with the debut of the Sport quattro concept. An
evolution of the quattro concept that was shown three years ago, the
Sport quattro is powered by a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a
twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor that pushes out 700 hp, a 0-62 time
of 3.7 seconds, and a top speed of 189 mph. And don't let the
supercar-level numbers fool you, the car is nothing but efficient, the
car has a range of 31 miles on electric power alone and has an
impressive fuel rating of 94 miles per gallon. (acquire)
