Volvo has officially unveiled the brand new Concept Coupe, ahead of
its public debut scheduled for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, on the
10th of September. After releasing a few teaser images and videos with the model, the
brand new Volvo Concept Coupe is finally here. The model in question is a
luxurious Grand Tourer which is previewing the company’s new styling
language and it’s coming with a sporty front fascia, new grille,
T-shaped LED daytime running light, contoured hood, stylish greenhouse, a
rear end which reminds us of the P1800, a panoramic glass roof and
21-inch alloy wheels, amongst others. The Volvo Concept Coupe’s styling is also continued in the cabin,
where we can find the premium leather upholstery, the gloss black
accents, the grey wood trim, large touch screen infotainment system,
head-up display and some other tweaks. Power to the Volvo Concept Coupe
is being provided by a 2.0 liter Drive-E petrol engine and an electric
motor, producing a total output of 400 HP (298 kW) and more than 600 Nm
of torque (442 lb-ft). The petrol burner is driving the front wheels and
the electric motor is sending power to the rear axle. Additional
details on the model are limited for the moment and will be announced in
Frankfurt. (inautonews)
