Ferrari Reveals The Portofino

Ferrari has just revealed its replacement for the "entry level" California T with a lighter and more powerful drop-top, the Portofino. The car is a bit less restrained in the design department with a slightly more aggressive look that puts it more in line with the brand's current styling. The Portofino will feature a new chassis design that is significantly lighter than the California T while also increasing rigidity. The V8 also gets new components and the engine management software has also been tweaked. The third generation of Ferraris E-Diff3 electronic rear differential will be making its debut on the car to help enhance mechanical grip and control. Steering responsiveness has also been improved with the addition of electric power steering, the first Ferrari in the GT range to get it.  As for power, the V8 will be able to deliver a 0-62 time of 3.5 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 198 mph. This is possible due to the addition of a new pistons and con-rods, an all-new intake design, and a one-piece-cast exhaust header that helps eliminate turbo lag.
