Volvo P1800 ZES Concept

Volvo's well-received attempt to sprinkle some P1800 magic on the new Coupe Concept that's on display at the ongoing 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, seems to have rubbed off on Swedish-born designer Bo Zolland who decided to bring back to life the original version of the car with a new coachbuilt-like study. The Volvo P1800 ZES is the Swedish designer’s shot at a new age version of the iconic 1960/70s era model. Keeping many of the aesthetic elements intact, the vintage inspired model seemingly takes design cues from the Aston Martin DB5, but with a more wagon inspired rear. Modeled specifically after the sports estate version of the P1800, Zolland has outfitted his concept with modern headlights, new taillights, and a whole lot more. The retro inspired spoke wheels are the perfect finishing touch to this beauty. (carscoops)
