Tim Timebomb And Friends – "In The Dew And The Rain" (New Song)
Today’s new Tim Timebomb and Friends song
is a cover of a calypso song from 1939 called “In the Dew and the
Rain.” Here’s what Mr. Armstrong had to say about the track: This Calypso was originally written and sung by The Growler
(Errol Duke). He was backed at the time by John Buddy Williams and His
Blue Rhythm Orchestra. There’s a lot of history behind many of the
Calypso tunes that came out back then. Some of the songs were about the
lack of opportunities, and what people did to survive. The choices
weren’t always the most glamorous options. Here’s our take on In The Dew
And The Rain from 1939. Tim Timebomb is the latest side project from Rancid’s Tim Armstrong,
who has been releasing a long series of singles on iTunes every week
since the beginning of November 2012 through Hellcat Records. (dyingscene)
