A childhood home of the late Ronnie James Dio is now for sale on online auction site eBay. The
3-bedroom house is located in Cortland, New York, which is south of
Syracuse. A street in Cortland – Dio Way – was named after the singer in
1988. A partial description from the seller is as folows: “This is the house [Ronnie] grew up in, wrote songs in, had parties
in, and played in! We bought the house from Ronnie about 3.5 years ago
and have enjoyed living there but it is too small for our growing
family. I am listing it on eBay in the hopes that a TRUE Dio fan can get
this house and enjoy owning a piece or heavy metal history,” The seller plans to donate a portion of the proceeds to cancer research in memory of Dio who died of stomach cancer in 2010. The minimum starting bid is listed as $90,000. The auction ends on August 31st.
