Ferrari Daytona SP3 Targa
Ferrari unveiled the latest in its "Icona" line of vintage-inspired,
limited-edition sports cars at the Mugello Circuit, the Scuderia-owned
racetrack. The Daytona SP3 Targa takes its name from Ferrari's 1-2-3
finish at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona, and its shape from the 330 P3/4,
330 P4, and 412 P racers that claimed the top three spots. The carbon
fiber chassis borrows construction techniques used in Scuderia Ferrari's
F1 program, with a mid-mounted, naturally-aspirated V12 making 828
horsepower and 514 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 comes in 2.86 seconds, 124 MPH
in 7.4, while terminal velocity is in excess of 211 MPH.
