Relax In The Dry Pool
Starpool, a company that designs spas, collaborated with Neocogita, a brain wellness research company, to create a bed that allows you to feel like you’re floating. Known as a dry bed or pool, it’s essentially a heated waterbed that offers the benefits of immersion tanks, eliminating your body weight, without the need of having to get wet. During the floating experience, the body stops regulating body temperature and gravitational structure. The body is then free to produce endorphins, which inhibit the transmission of pain signals in the body and sometimes produce a feeling of euphoria. Listening to specially designed meditation sessions by NU RELAX, allows you to feel complete calmness. Named Zerobody, it has been designed by Cristiano Mino, and is a minimalist, upholstered design, intended for workplaces and spas. There’s even the option to choose what color you want to surround you.

Scott Sight Thermal-Imaging Firefighter Mask
Firefighters
have been using thermal imagining cameras since the 1990s, and the
reason is clear: One of a their greatest challenges can be visibility
through smoke, and thermal imaging lets them see in a different way. But
these cameras have always been independent units that added pound or
two to a firefighter's helmet. That's
what makes the Scott Sight, the new firefighting mask developed by Tyco
International, so remarkable. By placing the thermal imaging inside the
mask, they've given firefighters greater accessibility to cameras
without adding weight. A firefighter wearing the Scott Sight,
announced at the Fire Department Instructor Conference in Indianapolis,
will have in the bottom right of their field of vision a thermal image
of their immediate surroundings. This will free up both hands for other
things and allow smoother operation in dark areas. Another
big problem with the old thermal imaging cameras was price. The first
ones purchased in 1997 cost $16,000, and while prices have gone down
since then, departments still often rely on fundraisers and charity to get the cameras. Tyco has yet to set a price point on their new technology. (yahoo)

Artist Specializes In Free-Hand Artistic Haircuts For Horses
British artist Melody Cannon has a very interesting job – she gives
horses free-hand artistic haircuts at JMC Equestrian Driving &
Custom Clipping in Bury, Greater Manchester. For the past three years,
she has been using her unique talent to clip their body hair into
beautiful works of art. At first, Melody started by carving
simple patterns – like stars, hearts, and bees – into her clients’ shiny
coats. But as the popularity of her designs grew, she started doing
more elaborate, full-coat designs, all freehand, without the use of
stencils. The unusual haircuts not only help the horses stand out of,
but the frequent clipping is supposedly also good for them because it
helps prevent the fur from matting.
