First photos of the
highly anticipated Koenigsegg Regera have leaked to the web, while the model
has also been snapped ahead of its official premiere during the Geneva Motor
Show. Lovecars shared
brochure scans of the Regera, which will be the first model of the company to
feature the Koenigsegg Direct Drive (KDD) technology. The Swedish producer
insists this is not a hybrid system, despite using a 700 HP (515 kW) electric motors and a 9
kWh battery pack. The 1,420 kg (3,131 lbs) megacar is said to have a combined output of
1,500 HP (1,103 kW), which is enough for a 0 to 400 km/h (0-250 mph) sprint in less than 20 seconds. The first interior
photo of the vehicle shows it features Apple CarPlay, 3G and WiFi and a recording
camera. (worldcarfans)
