Swedish Taxi Service Offers Free Psychotherapy For Passengers
A Stockholm taxi company is to send therapists out with its drivers
to help travellers talk through their problems on their journey. Stockholm
residents can book the three available therapy taxis with Taxi
Stockholm in advance and spend as long as they like chatting to a
licensed therapist. The Local, a Swedish news site, reports that the service will be
free and there is no need for passengers to worry about cab drivers
discussing their issues - they have all signed non-disclosure
agreements. Mia Fahlén, one of the psychologists involved in the project, said even a
10 minute trip could help customers. “We don’t know exactly how long
each trip will be, so we have to be flexible.”
