The iconic Traveller WW.TC opts for an intense all-black look with the release of a new Titanium DLC version from Girard-Perregaux.
Highly technical and sophisticated, the design houses a manufactured
mechanical movement offering world times and chronograph functions and
is meant to be the perfect contemporary traveling companion. Coupling a
rubber-treated alligator strap with a 44 mm case, the timepiece features
a three-dimensional representation of the latitudes and longitudes covering the Earth – a uniformly black backdrop to the hours and minutes
displays. Both the hands and hour-markers sport luminous coatings for
added visibility as a bright red central seconds hand stands out on its
own. Finally, minutes and hours are marked by separate counters at the 9
o’clock and 6 o’clock positions while the world time function is
displayed along the perimeter of the dial thanks to two rings – an inner
ring that’s constantly in motion and completes a full revolution every
24 hours and a static outer ring that shows the 24 time zones that
divide the planet. Protected by a sapphire crystal and matching aperture, the Traveller WW.TC Titanium DLC is now available at Girard-Perregaux retailers around the world. (hypebeast)
