Hublot's latest timepiece is inlaid with more than 1200 diamonds, including six stones of more than three carats each, and has a price tag of $US5 million ($4.75 million), making it the world's most expensive watch. Jean-Claude Biver, president of Hublot, which is owned by LVMH, said it would be difficult to make a more expensive watch "because the surface of the watch is limited". It took 17 people 14 months to set the more than 140 carats of diamonds on the watch's white gold bracelet, said Biver at the world's biggest watch show in Basel. Mr Biver said several people have expressed interest in acquiring it, but wouldn't give any details.
