McLaren 675LT

McLaren will introduce the 675LT at the Geneva Auto Show as a street-legal car designed for the track. This world debut will show a car focused on performance, light weight and ultimate levels of handling. Powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-8 rated at 666 HP and a seven-speed transmission, the 675LT will have a top speed of 330 kph (205 mph). It will reach 100 kph (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds, McLaren says. The car can reach 200kph (124 mph) in 7.9 seconds. Styling cues run from the extended carbon fiber front splitter, through an extended door blade and additional cooling intake, to the circular twin titanium exhaust pipes, giving a hint to the performance available for the most powerful and lightest model in the McLaren Super Series. The active ‘Longtail’ Airbrake is 50 percent bigger than the one fitted to the 650S yet, due its carbon fiber structure, is actually lighter. This is just one of the enhancements that add up to a dry weight of just 1,230kg. The 675LT is offered in five specifications, which includes four bespoke colors never previously offered: Silica White, Delta Red, Napier Green and Chicane Grey are all newly formulated paint hues for the 675LT. The famous heritage McLaren Orange completes the themes unique to the model.

2018 Audi TTQ

The rumored Audi TTQ has been rendered by X-Tomi Design ahead of an expected 2017 market launch. Audi hinted at a TT crossover last year with the TT offroad concept shown at Beijing Motor Show and immediately rumors emerged about the possibility of a production version. It seems this will actually happen in 2017 and the model is going to be commercialized with the TTQ moniker. Initially, Audi wanted to use the Q4 badge but the name belongs to FCA and they refused to sell it. Details about the model are scarce at the moment but the styling will be heavily influenced by the TT offroad concept so expect a sharp design for Audi's new crossover which will be sold as a competitor for the BMW X4. A recent report mentions the availability of an e-quattro all-wheel drive system shared with the next-gen A4 (B9). It refers to a hybrid setup consisting of a combustion engine, an electric motor installed within the gearbox housing along with another electric motor driving the rear wheels. Apparently this system is capable of pushing out a combined 408 bhp (304 kW) so it will likely be seen in a higher specification variant. It is believed e-quattro will allow the TTQ be used at higher speeds as a front-wheel drive with power coming only from the conventional engine. In city driving where speeds are most of the times low, the crossover would run solely on electric power driving the rear wheels while in low-traction areas the TTQ would work as a hybrid all-wheel drive vehicle. Guinness-Flavored Potato Chips

Guinness-flavored foods are none too surprising, given how universally beloved Ireland’s most famous beer is. What is surprising is how long it’s taken for Guinness to be paired with potato chips, a match seemingly made in snack heaven. British chip manufacturer Burt’s British Hand Cooked Chips has remedied this gross oversight, creating Guinness-flavored chips in two distinct varieties: Original and Rich Beef Chili.  To give them the unmistakably bittersweet taste of Guinness, FoodBeast reports that the “thick cut, hand cooked chips are seasoned with roasted barley and hops. The verdict according to Foodbeast is flavor that definitely succeeds in emulating the famous Irish stout, with an overall taste that’s “not bad at all.” If you’re in the UK, pick up a bag and taste for yourself. 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB

Ferrari has introduced an update of the 458 Italia called 488 GTB. Scheduled to go on sale in time for the 2016 model year, the 488 GTB will be presented to the public for the first time at next month's Geneva Motor Show. The big news for 2016 is that the 488 GTB trades the Italia's naturally-aspirated 4.5-liter V8 engine for a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 that makes 661 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 560 lb-ft. of torque at 3,000 rpm. An updated seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that features a built-in torque management function sends the 488 from zero to 62 mph in three seconds flat, from zero to 124 mph in 8.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 205 mph. Also found in the engine bay of the California T, the Maserati-derived 3.9-liter V8 is expected to noticeably boost the 488's gas mileage but official figures have not been published yet. Regardless, the downsized mill will help the Modena-based automaker comply with European regulations by lowering its fleet's average CO2 emissions. Visually, the 488 GTB features a more aerodynamic front fascia characterized by new headlights, a large three-part air dam and twin air vents integrated into the hood. Air ducts located behind the doors help cool the engine, while the rear end gains modestly updated LED tail lamps and a new bumper. The changes inside are relatively minor and largely limited to redesigned seats, new switches and an improved infotainment system. The 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB will go on sale before the end of the year. Its topless counterpart will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show that will open its doors in September. (leftlanenews)
