Here is the official video for The Knocks and Fred Falke’s big tune “Geronimo”, from their Geronimo EP out July 23rd. The video was shot in the desert of New Mexico’s White Sands National Monument and features Native American hoop dancing by 22-year-old Nakota Laurence. 

Hayao Miyazaki's New Film To Be About "Zero Fighter" Designer?

Possible details of Hayao Miyazaki's new film have been revealed by the tweets of two Japanese animators. According to ANN [via  Twitch], the legendary director’s next film is based on the life of Jiro Horikoshi, “the man who designed the Zero fighter plane used in the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II. Horikoshi was an aeronautical engineer who developed a number of military aircrafts, with Zero being his most famous invention.” Completion on Miyazaki’s untitled picture is slated for late 2013.

The Wallflowers Debut New Mick Jones-Assisted Single "Reboot The Mission"

The Wallflowers are back with a new record, the group's first since 2005's Rebel, Sweetheart. Glad All Over, is set for release on October 2nd on Columbia Records. The album, which was recorded in Nashville, is the band’s attempt to modernize their rock sound and even add a little reggae influence with the vocal and guitar contributions of the Clash’s Mick Jones on the track “Reboot the Mission.” Frontman Jakob Dylan told Rolling Stone the band’s current goal is to be “a rock band that could make a dance track too, without crossing over to the extreme side.” After recording Glad All Over wrapped in February, Dylan told the magazine that he and the rest of the band are anxious to head out and share the new tracks. “We’ve been patient, and we could not be more excited.” Listen to “Reboot the Mission” here.

The real-life "Girl From Ipanema," Helo Pinheiro, 67, is a successful model and celebrity in Brazil today.

W Motors Unveils Arab World's First Homegrown Supercar

From Beirut, Lebanon come W Motors who are set to be the premier manufacturer of hyper cars in the region. The cars are named the Hyper-sport and the Super-sport. At the helm of the project is Ralph R Debbas, who graduated from Coventry University School of Art and Design with a major in Automotive Design. He also has received numerous awards for concepts he worked on in Europe. Details available at the moment are that it will have signature diamond incrusted LED lights and a holographic display. Each customer will be able to choose a precious stone to have fitted to the interior of the car. The car will feature a carbon fiber frame, a gold plated hood and gold or platinum keys. The engine is touted to be a mid mounted, twin-turbocharged, six-cylinder engine producing around 750hp. A 0-100km/h time of 2.8 seconds will be the project aim alongside a 385km/h (239mph) top speed. Details on the Super-sport will also be released at a later date. The Hyper-car will be unveiled in December at an event in Dubai. This will be followed by the public launch at the Qatar Motor Show in January 2013.

Clutch Debut New Song

Maryland rockers Clutch played a brand new song — whose title was not disclosed — for the first time on July 18 at Vinyl Music Hall in Pensacola, Florida. Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be viewed below. 

"Dramatic" New Maya Temple Found, Covered With Giant Faces

Some 1,600 years ago, the Temple of the Night Sun was a blood-red beacon visible for miles and adorned with giant masks of the Maya sun god as a shark, blood drinker, and jaguar. Long since lost to the Guatemalan jungle, the temple is finally showing its faces to archaeologists, and revealing new clues about the rivalrous kingdoms of the Maya. (more)
