Aerion AS2 Supersonic Jet

Supersonic flight has been a dream for civilians since the Concorde took its last flight in 2003. The Aerion AS2 Supersonic Jet is about to change that. It can carry up to 12 passengers around the globe faster than the speed of sound. Thanks to a new wing and airframe design, it reduces drag over conventional delta wing designs by 20%, enabling speeds of up to Mach 1.5 and a range of up to 5,466 miles. In other words, it can knock three hours off a transatlantic flight, and over six off a trans-Pacific jaunt. Initial flights are expected to begin in 2021, with commercial deliveries commencing in 2023. (uncrate)

Ultra rare Zonda HP Barchetta is now world's most expensive car. Based on the mid-engined Pagani Zonda which was originally unveiled in 1999, this one-off hypercar costs €15 million making it the most expensive car in the world. Horacio Pagani’s Zonda HP Barchetta is one of the three open-topped models to be ever made. The hypercar was part of the rally that drove from Pagani’s UK headquarters in London to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it was showcased during the motoring event. Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is powered by a 7.3-litre naturally-aspirated Mercedes-AMG V12 engine that makes 790bhp and is capable of reaching from 0-100 kph in just 3.1 seconds before hitting a top speed of 338 kph. The power plant comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox which sends all the power to the rear wheels. The hypercar weighs just 1250 kilogrammes.

Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot have released the first Overlord trailer, offering your first look at Bad Robot’s first ever R-rated movie. Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell has shared a new solo track, "Setting Sun." Helmed by Eminem and 21 Pilots producer Mike Elizondo, it's the latest in a line of songs inspired by DC Comics' recent graphic novel Dark Days: The Road To Metal. Marilyn Manson collaborator Tyler Bates and ex-Dillinger Escape Plan drummer Gil Sharone co-authored the cut.

The official lyric video for Guns N' Roses' previously unreleased acoustic version of "Move To The City", taken from the "Locked N' Loaded" box reissue of the band's classic 1987 debut album, "Appetite For Destruction", can be seen below. The track first appeared on the band’s 1986 EP Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide; the acoustic version is one of two recordings made with producer Mike Clink included in the new set. A new US trailer has been released for upcoming adaptation of Albert Sanchez Pino’s novel Cold Skin. Directed by Xavier Gens, the sci-fi horror stars David Oakes, Ray Stevenson, and Aura Garrido. “On the edge of the Antarctic Circle, in the years after World War I, a steam ship approaches a desolate island far from all shipping lanes.
