Teaser Trailer Released For "Phantasm V Ravager"
Filmmaker Don Coscarelli announced yesterday that Phantasm: Ravager, the long-awaited fifth and final entry in his classic horror Phantasm series, has completed principle photography and you can now check out a teaser poster and trailer, courtesy of ShockTillYouDrop.com. For the first time in the franchise's history, a new director is helming
the production, one David Hartman. Hartman is a multiple Emmy-nominated
animation director, whose work can be seen in such celebrated shows as
"Transformers Prime" and "Roughnecks: Starship Troopers". Serious genre
fans have long been familiar with Hartman’s edgier output, including two
blood-soaked music videos for Rob Zombie ("American Witch," and "Lords
of Salem"), and his illustrations of Steve Niles' "Strange Cases" for
Image Comics. Ravager features Reggie Bannister (a veteran of all five films)
in his decades-long pursuit of the malevolent Tall Man, and it finally
forces him to confront the mysteries at the heart of the Phantasm saga.
The entire original cast is back including Michael Baldwin, Bill
Thornbury, Kat Lester and Angus Scrimm, along with some great new
characters. (comingsoon)

BMW CS Vintage Concept
These renderings re-create a
beautiful and modern BMW E9, which was originally built for the Bavarian
company by Karmann from 1968 to 1975. In fact, this reinterpretation is
an even mix between the E9 and its predecessor - the 1965 BMW 2000 CS
(E120 series). The project is the work of designer David Obendorfer, who
has also created some original virtual reinterpretations of the Fiat
127, Renault 4 and Fiat 500 in the past. “The BMW CS Vintage Concept is based on the 6 series
platform (in production since 2011). The style, despite numerous
citations from the past, is substantially contemporaneous with updated
proportions and with modern details, many of which are inspired by
nautical styling solutions. The interior design is minimalist with
simple lines and high quality materials such as wood or hand-stitched
leather. It lacks references to the BMW coupés of the 60s such as the
four circular instruments that on the CS Vintage Concept become four
small TFT screens two of which are freely programmable. The central
hideaway monitor displays navigational and infotainment data,” as David
describes his latest work. (worldcarfans)

1960s refrigerator. The design goes below skin-deep, as Pawel and Jans envision an advanced
pushrod suspension, twin-turbo small block V8, six-speed sequential
gearbox, and the extensive use of carbon fiber.

New Cheech And Chong Movie In The Works
In an interview with CelebStoner, Tommy Chong said that he and Cheech Marin are working with director Jay Chandrasekhar (Super Troopers) on the next Cheech & Chong movie. He said: "He's working a script right now for us. We've had some preliminary meetings. It looks really good. It looks really funny. It's about us going to a festival called the Burning Joint. All sorts of shenanigans happen. It's going to be a lot of fun. The two met up with Chandrasekhar thanks to Marin's manager Ben Fagen. Chong added: "They came at us with a rough idea and now they're fleshing it out and making it into a budgetable script. We could start shooting this summer. "This would be the first live-action movie with the duo since Still Smokin in 1983. Last year they were featured in Cheech & Chong's Animated Movie, based on their early 1970s comedy skits. Chong said: "It was not done with our involvement. They animated the old records. I thought for what they had it was great. We didn't have to write anything. All Cheech and I had to do was look at it and go yea or no. I liked it." Chandrasekhar directed, co-wrote and co-starred in Super Troopers, Club Dread and Beerfest. He is a part of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe.

DP Customs Turbo Destroyer
A race car driver in Denver, Colorado asked Jarrod and Justin
Del Prado of DP Customs whether they could build a street-legal drag
racing-natured bike which would not wheelie too easily. Since there was enough "extreme" in the proposal, the Del Prado brothers
quickly sketched the Turbo Destroyer, a bike based on the clean lines
of the 2008 1200 Sportster. Hacking and sawing was needed and a custom low seat was hard-mounted on
the 8"-longer (20.3 cm) hardtail rear frame. This ensured that the
center of gravity was also very low and wheelies were no longer an
issue. The front end was ditched in favor of a Ducati 1198S one with Öhlins
suspensions, loaded with Kyle racing spacers to accommodate the BST
carbon wheel and the monoblock Brembo calipers for top-drawer braking. A
Brembo RCS master was used, as well. A Marchesini forged aluminium rear wheel came in place of the stock one, and both rims got Pirelli Diablo Super Corsa SP tires. The engine needed more nerve, so DP Customs sent it to no other than
James of Trask Performance. There the Harley mill got Screamin' Eagle
heads, and a turbo charger which brought specs up to 154 hp and 132
lb-ft (179 Nm). A Thundermax ECU was also provided and hidden in the small rear cowl,
while the custom battery box and all electronics are under the seat.
Even the tank started as a H-D unit but got cut and turned into a
completely new, bespoke one. The Turbo Destroyer was built for speed and not for comfort and the Del
Prado brothers say it delivers just the right amount of extreme. (autoevolution)
