London-based Japanese designer and sound artist Yuri Suzuki has created a radio that is made to look like the London Underground map. It is called the Tube Map Radio and it is built on a circuit board that has a map that resembles the London Underground map. Suzuki’s idea was inspired by an electrical diagram created
by technical draftsman Harry Beck, who was the creator of the London
subway map himself. Details are not excluded from this Tube Map Radio, with
symbols used to represent iconic landmarks. For example, a speaker icon
to represent Speaker’s Corner, and a battery icon for Battersea Power
Station.
